To take the Chief Mate Phase II Course:

• A valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate is required.

• The seafarer must meet the sea time requirement as OOW per the National Authority's Rules defined in the STCW Code.

• The applicant must possess valid STCW Certificates of Competence from IMO (International Maritime Organization).

• A doctor's note certifying the applicant's medical status.

• The applicant must have taken the necessary preparatory courses (i.e., Chief Mate Phase I where applicable).
