    To enroll in the BST (Basic Safety Training) course, you typically need the following documents:
    • INDoS number
    • Valid passport (original and photocopy)
    • 10th standard mark sheet or equivalent educational certificate
    • DG Shipping–approved medical fitness certificate
     

    To be eligible for the BST Course, the following qualifications are required:

  • Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years old.

  • Educational Qualification: You should have passed 10th standard (SSC or equivalent).

  • Medical Fitness: A medical fitness certificate from a DG Shipping–approved doctor is mandatory.

  • INDoS Number: You must have a valid INDoS (Indian National Database of Seafarers) number.

  • A candidate can take the BST Exit Exam only at the Maritime Training Institute (MTI) where they completed their training. The exam cannot be taken from home or any external location.
