What is the eligibility for Chief Mate Phase-II?

To be eligible for the Chief Mate Phase II (Mercantile Marine) qualification, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

1. A valid Chief Mate Phase I certificate.

2. A Second Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC) issued by DG Shipping or another recognized authority.

3. Approved sea service as a Second Officer, in accordance with IMO guidance under STCW.

4. Valid mandatory STCW certificates, including Advanced Fire Fighting and Medical Care.
