Engine Room Simulator Course for MEO Class 4 in Delhi

The Engine Room Simulators – Operational Level – MEO CLASS IV (ERS) Training Course is a three-day training (21 hours) which includes the training outlined in the Model Course 2.07 by IMO. This training meets the mandatory simulator training requirements for Engineering Officers in Operations Level as mentioned in Table A-III/1 of the STCW Code. The purpose of this training is to provide the knowledge and skills on supervising and controlling the operation of the ship’s machinery.

Trainees will be provided with hands-on experience regarding the operations, maintenance, and running of the engine room machinery in different situations. It will help them perform better as a member of the team working inside the engine room.

Criteria for ERS Course Participation

To be eligible for registration into the ERS Course, the candidate must fulfill the following criteria:

• Passing the DG Shipping approved Pre-sea Engineering Course according to the Training, Examination & Assessment Programme (TEAP), Part A, Flow Diagram III/1.

• At least 6 months of sea service experience in a manned or periodic unmanned engine room of a seagoing vessel propelled by a main propulsion plant of 750 kW and above, working as a first assistant to the Engineer Officer-in-charge of the watch.

• CDC with soft copy proof of 6 months sea service
