GMDSS Course in Noida

The Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) course is an approved course under DG Shipping, which lasts for 12 days. It is mandatory for operating radio and satellite communication equipment in distress situations while at sea.

The course is designed to cover all aspects of equipment theoretically and practically. After completing the examination, a certificate is issued under the General Operator Certificate (GOC) from the Ministry of Communication.

                          Who is Eligible for the GMDSS course?

The candidate must possess at least one of the following to undergo the GMDSS course:

• Having cleared the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

• Deck Cadets appearing for the 2nd Mate (FG) exam.

• Nautical Officers in possession of or undertaking a Certificate of Competency.

• Marine Radio Officers in possession of a Certificate of Proficiency.

• All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  

GMDSS Course E-Learning

As per the current guidelines, there is no need to undergo an e-learning course for the GMDSS course, as it is an entirely offline course with a simulator.
