Eligibility Advanced Shipboard Management (ASM) Course
Requirements for enrollment in the Master FG Advanced Shipboard Management (ASM) Competency course include:
Possession of a Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Chief Mate (FG).
Sea service experience amounting to 12 months following issuance of the Chief Mate (FG) CoC and 36 months following issuance of the Second Mate (FG) CoC.
Where the individual has held the position of Chief Officer for 12 months following issuance of the First Mate (FG) CoC, the 36 months shall be reduced to 30 months.
