You need to be a seafarer with valid INDoS and eligible to sail.
Basic Safety Training (Usually required): Most institutes require you to have BST completed, as per DG Shipping admission rules followed by MTIs.
Medical Fitness: This is compulsory. You must be medically fit: A DG Shipping approved medical fitness certificate is a must. The vision and hearing should be to the required standard.
Sea Service (Not required for OCTCO) : The OCTCO course is a basic training course, and thus chemical/oil tanker sea service is not required for admission.
