Qualifications for PSCRB

• In order to qualify for PSCRB a candidate must meet the following qualification requirements:

  • 1. You must be at least 18 years of age

  • You must have successfully completed a Valid PST course in accordance with your STCW (A-VI/1-1) requirements.

  • You need six (6) months of sea service (of an accepted nature) in which to qualify for certification by the certifying authority. There may be a certifying authority that will allow you to substitute up to (12) months of sea service for a certifying authority that will not allow you to do so.

  • A Medical/Fitness Certificate must be submitted as evidence/documentation to support your physical and mental ability to Comply with completing the Practical Exams successfully.

• A valid medical certificate that has been issued by a medical doctor/agency recognized under ILO/ENG 1 and is available to the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India

• Acceptance into the training program through proof of identification with either an acceptable government-issued picture ID issued outside of India or valid Indian passport.

• Lastly, two passport-sized photographs will also be required upon arrival to the Maritime Training Institute.
