Refresher Medical Care Course Description
Refresher Training for Medical Care (RMC) is an important six-hour course approved by the Directorate General of Shipping. This program is meticulously designed to impart the needed training to sailors in order to obtain their certificate for refresher medical care, following the procedures set forth by the D.G. Shipping.
In order to retain their credentials, seafarers having a Medical Care certificate are supposed to undergo this refresher training every five years. The course material has been crafted according to the latest STCW Convention guidelines.
Eligibility for Refresher MC Course
Prospective candidates for the Refresher Medical Care Course must meet the following mandatory criteria:
Possession of a valid INDoS number is compulsory.
Must be a Deck Officer holding an existing Medical Care Course certificate.
